Project Overview
L & R Transport Ltd was instructed to carry out a full site clearance following a garage demolition for a Housing development company in Maidenhead.
The project involved the removal of hardcore, broken brick, and general construction waste, along with additional clearance at the rear of the site where vegetation had built up.
As part of ongoing development work, the site needed to be cleared efficiently and left ready for the next stage.
The Work Carried Out
Using a grab lorry with hydraulic arm, the team completed:
- Collection and removal of demolition hardcore
- Clearance of loose brick and construction waste
- Removal of roots, bushes, and organic material from the rear of the site
- Safe loading and transport to licensed disposal facilities
The grab lorry allowed large volumes of waste to be removed in fewer trips, keeping the process efficient and cost-effective.
Site Challenges
Access to the site was restricted, with limited space for vehicle movement and positioning.
Tight access points can slow down clearance work if not managed properly. In this case, careful planning and experienced operation ensured the vehicle was positioned safely, allowing the grab arm to reach and load material without disruption.
The Outcome
All waste was removed from site, including both demolition material and overgrown vegetation.
The area was left clear, level, and ready for further development work, with no delays to the project schedule.
Why This Matters
Efficient site clearance is a key part of keeping construction projects moving. Delays at this stage can impact everything that follows.
With over 20 years of combined experience, L & R Transport Ltd supports domestic and commercial projects with reliable grab hire, muck away, and waste removal services across Maidenhead and surrounding areas.
